Anointed Thought

God’s Word is the best anointed thought we could have.  Scripture is the most powerful seed of faith that we can sow into our lives.  Planting scriptural verses into our hearts and minds each day helps us ward off times of distress, uncertainty, doubt and fear.  God’s Word strengthens our resolve to believe Him by offering the support, guidance and encouragement we need to live a fruitful, godly and productive life.  The key to seeing Its power, however, takes more than just reading It.  We have to believe It; taking It at face value and trusting that what we are reading truly came from God. We must then have confidence that His Word is alive and active today. That takes a certain measure of faith and practice to achieve.  Ironically, the best way to see the power of the Lord’s Word is to read It.  He tells us in Romans 10:17 that “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of the Lord.”  The small sample below will hopefully provide a quick reference should you or a loved one need a little help getting started.

Overcoming Doubt:

Psalm 42:5, 6

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance. 

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

1 Corinthians 6:14

And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.

Romans 15:13

1 Peter 3:1-6

2 Corinthians 7:10-16

¹⁰ Now to the married I command, yet not I but the Lord: A wife is not to depart from her husband.¹¹ But even if she does depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. And a husband is not to divorce his wife.

Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.

Psalm 46:1-3

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
